Scenes from the Meeting Room: Racially Minoritized Leaders and Institutional Absurdity.

Join us for a performance-lecture by Royona Mitra and Broderick Chow, visiting researchers from the UK. The talk emerges from an ongoing dialogue between Mitra and Chow about their experience of leading anti-racist work in higher education in the arts. Royona is Professor in Dance and Performance Cultures at Brunel University London and the author of Akram Khan: Dancing New Interculturalism (2015). Broderick is Reader & Director of Learning, Teaching and Inclusion at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and author of Muscle Works: Physical Culture and the Performance of Masculinityforthcomingin 2024.
