Kick-off: What is radical research?

Date/time: 9 May 2022, 17.30-19:00 hrs, followed by salad and drinks
Location:  8.09 / ATD Amsterdam, Jodenbreestraat 3

Description: How do we do radical research? Does “radical” always have to mean “extreme” or can we also be inspired by Hamja Ahsan’s idea of the “shy radical”? Or if ‘radical’ can mean going to the root of something – then maybe it could mean asking some fundamental questions about who and what is included and excluded in dominant ideas of what counts as research. In this kick-off event for Research Month, you are invited to join us for an intimate conversation where invited guests will share their thoughts and practices on the idea of radical research as the stimulus for collective discussion and reflection.

Gathering on 9 May

We had a beautiful gathering with urgent and vulnerable contributions from guests and audience, in an unravelling, multi-layered event. View the photo reportage made by Thomas Lenden.
