Terms and conditions

  • Candidates should be professional, semi-professional or advanced ballet students and between 12 and 21 years of age by July 8 2025;
  • Candidates will be selected from the applications submitted and shall be notified of the results using the supplied primary email address not before Friday, February 28 2025.
  • Applications cannot be accepted without the requested photos and/or videos;
  • Closing date for all applications is Friday, February 14 2025  -17:00CET.
    However, due to a limited number of places available, candidates are advised to apply a.s.a.p.;
  • The committee’s decision is final. The committee is not obliged to elaborate further on the details of their decisions;
  • The organizers reserve the right to retain all or part of the course fees in the event of the applicant’s withdrawal before or after the start of a course;
  • The final schedule for the course shall be posted on the notice board of the studios on the first day of the course;
  • The organization reserves the right to change the teachers or guest artists in the event of illness or any other unforeseen or unavoidable circumstance;
  • All candidates must bring the appropriate practice wear:
    - All female candidates are expected to wear a leotard and pink or skin color tights
    - Female candidates in the CEW and Senior courses are expected to bring pointe shoes 
    - Male candidates are expected to wear a slim fitting t-shirt and ballet tights;
  • The organizers will not be held responsible for any damage or injury, however caused, to any person attending the course or third parties, nor for the loss or damage of any property, on or off the premises of the course or of the Stayokay Youth Hostel;
  • It is mandatory that the candidate takes out personal health, travel and accident insurance;
  • No candidate can attend the course if carrying an injury that will prevent them from full participation of the course;
  • All classes are compulsory and the direction reserves the right to end the course of any student who misses a class without good reason. If absence to a class is unavoidable, students are required to inform a member of the artistic team of their intended absence before the class begins;
  • Candidates who, due to an injury or medical decision, are not able to participate in the in-depth summer school can cancel their participation by handing over an official document or medical proof. When the candidate has paid the full course fee we are able to refund the course fee minus a non-refundable deposit. When a candidate is not able to participate in the summer school for another reason than an injury or medical decision, we will have to discuss the possibilities of cancellation and/or refunding;
  • If the minimum required number of registrations is not achieved, the organization is permitted to cancel the course;
  • By participating in the Amsterdam International Summer School 2025, you consent to photography and video recordings and their publication on our website and social media;
  • We have a strict no alcohol, no drugs policy.
    Any participant who does not respect this policy will be asked to leave immediately.
