Audition
This year we will hold two audition rounds. Upon invitation you can participate in a first round in February 2025. When you will have passed this audition successfully we will invite you to the call back round in April 2025.
Live/online
To international participants we want to continue to offer the opportunity to participate in the first audition round online*. Of course, international participants are also very welcome at the live audition if they prefer.
For the second round, we expect all pupils to come and audition live if circumstances allow it.
*If you choose the online audition, please make sure to stream your audition in reasonable circumstances. Preferably from a studio, but if that's not possible, a room where you can do all the exercises you normally do in a ballet class. With room to lift your legs and the ability to jump.
Audition dates:
First round
Tuesday 11 February 2025
Deadline for completing the registration form is 31 January
Second round
Friday 4 April 2025 + Medical screening Saturday 5 April for candidates that pass the final round

High school diploma
The Associate Degree programme is a higher vocational education. This means that a high school diploma is needed to enter this programme. When you have passed your audition with the Dutch National Ballet Academy successfully, but you're still busy with your academic studies, we will ask you to take an academic test on the day of the final audition, to determine whether or not you will be admitted to the Associate Degree.
