If you start a study programme at the Academy of Theatre and Dance, you have to register as a student at the Amsterdam University of the Arts and pay tuition fees.
The statutory tuition fee, set by the Dutch government, is set at € 2.006* for the academic year 2017-2018. Please note: you are only eligible for the statutory fee if you are from a country within the European Economic Area, Switzerland or Surinam. The rate also applies to UAF refugee students. You must also live in the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg or parts of Germany.
If you are not eligible for the statutory fee, you have to pay an institutional tuition fee. This applies to all part-time students, students from programmes that are not funded by government, students who have already obtained a diploma at the same level in the Netherlands and students from outside the European Economic Area.
* Special fees apply to the preparatory ballet course of the National Ballet Academy and for the 5 o'clock class.
Please find more detailed information on the website of the Student Affairs department of the Amsterdam University of the Arts. Here you can also find out what rate applies to your situation by using the tuition fees wizard.
