GARDEN GATHERING - SEED SWAP

Snowdrops, purple crocuses and even early daffodils are blooming, the birds are singing - SPRING IS COMING.

After the rooftop garden has been sleeping in the past months, winter is slowly making way for spring and warmer weather! A new season for gardening is approaching, and we enter it with a bigger garden and many teachings from the last year! Thanks to our collective efforts last year, the garden has grown considerably and will grow even bigger this year. There are lots of beds to be filled with plants... so let's get started, and get our hands into the soil again. ❀

As last year, we begin the season with PRE-GROWING baby plants that can move out to the rooftop after the last frost. For this, we start the gardening season with a SEED SWAP!

This first GARDEN GATHERING of the season will take place next Wednesday, the 13th, at 17:00 on the rooftop of the ATD. Everyone is welcome - there will be tea from last season's harvest, and we will exchange seeds for us to pre-grow at home. Pots, soil, and infos for the seedlings will be provided! And once the baby plants on your windowsill have grown big enough, they can move to the rooftop in April/May. (the JOY that comes from watching tiny seeds turn into luscious plants over the weeks chases away all the winter demons!) We saved many seeds from last year, and will provide plenty for you to take home + pre-grow + spread; and of course you are welcome to bring seeds yourself to exchange with others!

We will also invite each other into a small spring ritual, to plant our wishes and desires for this future garden season into the soils.

Accessibility information: the event is wheelchair accessible; there is a wheelchair accessible toilet on the ground floor of the building which can be reached via lift. There is no physical action required at the event, and there are plenty of seating possibilities. The event is informal: so it is absolutely fine to stay only for a short while.
