A weekend with Cohort 4 is a gathering for presenting and expanding the artistic research community, organized by THIRD/Cohort 4 at the DAS Graduate School.
Over two afternoons and early evenings Maija Hirvanen, Szymon Adamczak, Panagiotis Panagiotakopolous, Sabine Zahn and Zhana Ivanova will share their research processes, approaches and pending queries with a warmly welcomed public.
The event will unravel at an irregular rhythm: a sequence of individual presentations, collective efforts and careful experiments. Expect glossaries, scores, predictions, reorganizing bodies, odes to unsung heroes, beyond human entanglements, and magic realism - an assembly of our practices, stemming from dialogues, mutual responsibility and shared companionship.

A conversation about Szymon's work explore queer pedagogies and feedback modalities through In Pursuit of Otherwise Possibilities (IPOP.)
A listening session in whick Taka Taka will explores the conceptual frame: End of violence, creation of joy and the work of Shirlene Cooper, the initiator of the New York-based project Women's Empowerment Art Therapy Group.
The session is conceived as a gradually unraveling structure, traversing several modes of sharing and presenting. Fragments of a casually encountered scripted scene resurface in a conversation with a dear friend, while it dissolves into stage directions with hints of magic realism.

Maija activates a freshly printed publication of Mycoscores / Choreospores a set of scores exploring the connections between fungal and human ways of being, particularly through movement and dance.
This session will be a first step into what could be a conversational setup, that rather than speaking about a practice invites to craft pathways through thinking and exchanging alongside, approximating the practice through the situation at stake.
In the second session Szymon and his guests are presenting a reading performance inspired by Warsaw correspondence of Bob Mellors, a gender non-conforming, working class activist and a co-founder of Gay Liberation Front UK.
