Costume, fashion, inspiration, making, theater design

Above the library, on the fourth floor, is the costume workshop with an extensive collection of dance and theater costumes. It is designed, styled, made, bought, modified and advice is given to students who want to borrow costumes from the costume store.

You can go to the library for inspiration about theater costumes and fashion. Here you will find beautiful photo books such as Thierry Muglers Couturissime and Ballerina : Fashion's Modern Muse by Patricia Mears. Learn more about the use of costumes in theater through Costume in Performance by Donatella Barbieri. Can you be inspired by the work of young, diverse makers in Global Wardrobe by Madelief Hohé. And get started with patterns yourself using Pattern Magic by Tomoko Nakamichi. Dutch theater costume designers are also included, such as Rien Bekkers and Bas Kosters.
