Building the Impossible Bridge: a gathering for BIPOC teachers and researchers

We will acknowledge impossibilities.
We will listen together.
We will share stories and strategies for survival.

This gathering is anyone with lived experience of racialisation (BIPOC/global majority) who is a teacher/researcher or works in relationship with an institution

In 2020, artist Rajni Shah and academic Royona Mitra recorded adialogue under the title ‘Building the impossiblebridge: voice notes on anti-racism and/in institutions’. Now, three  years later, Rajni finds themself working within an institution for the first time, encountering the many challenges of continuing to do resistance work from inside the academy. For this event, Rajni and Royona will reflect on how things have changed since 2020, for them personally and also in their awareness more widely.Their dialogue will open up into a shared conversation with whoever would like to join them.
