Iris Reyes
Iris Reyes, born in Caracas, Venezuela, did her education at the Bellas Artes Ballet School in Caracas (1975-1983). She danced with the National Ballet of Caracas from 1983 to 1990 performing in Romeo and Juliet, Coppelia, La Bayad
ère and others as well as in leading roles in ballets by George Balanchine. In 1990 she moved to Amsterdam, where she worked as a freelance dancer and performed with choreographers such as Ted Brandsen, Conny Janssen, Nanine Linning and others. Associated to Conny Janssen Danst from 1993 to 2005, Iris Reyes became one of the ensemble's leading dancer, and she was awarded the "Best dancer of 2001" with the VSCD Silver Dance Prize during the Dutch Dance Days in Maastricht of the same year.

Teaching regularly ballet and modern dance classes as well giving workshops and working as a guest rehearsal director national and international for a year before she became rehearsal director at Introdans in Arnhem, from 2006 to 2018. Iris became the permanent assistant of Mea Venema, who, on behalf of the Hans van Manen Foundation, studied Hans' ballets all over the world during her 12 years at Introdans. Since 2017 she has been studying ballets of Hans van Manen for international ballet companies and at the n
ational ballet junior company in The Netherlands.
