Liat Waysbort

Liat Waysbort (Israel, 1974) was educated in Israel. At 18 she started her career with the Bat-Sheva Dance Company and continued into a successful freelance career as a dancer and rehearsal director. Liat worked with O. Naharin, W. Forsythe, A. Miller, P. S. Norton, Club Guy & Roni and others. Liat is holding a master in choreography since 2006, and was a resident choreographer in Dansateliers productions till 2012, where she created full evening programs and a large body of shorter works for companies such as Dance-group Amsterdam, Conny Jansen Dance, and festivals. Liat Waysbort  was nominated for the NDD Prize for promising choreographer.

In 2014 the successful solo “Please me Please-The Solo” won a prize in Platform HR in Zagreb and the title “A little masterpiece” in the critiques in Barcelona The work is still touring nationaly aand internationaly.. In 2016 Liat premiered, with the support of her foundation, “TITANIC”, an indipendent production for the larger stages . Liat is a dedicated, open and forceful teacher Liat is a vast teacher at the Modern Theatre Dance , Acdemy for Theater and dance in Amsterdam, at the Henny Jurriens Stichting, and giving workshop for professional dancers and choreographers all around the world.

Since 2014 Liat Waysbort is the artistic director and the choreographer of Bitter Sweet Dance Foundation.
