Wesley Guido Rommy

Wesley Guido Rommy is a dancer, movement artist, coach, and educator deeply rooted in house dance and House music culture. With a career spanning over 15 years, he has established himself as a versatile performer, choreographer, educator, and DJ, shaping the global dance scene from his base in Rotterdam and beyond.

 

Wesley has performed, judged, battled and taught at major events worldwide, including Juste Debout, Summerdance Forever, Color Your House (Taiwan), Step Number (Korea), Inside Out (Hong Kong), North Sea Jazz Festival, Red Bull Dance Your Style, and Boom Festival. His contributions to House music culture extend beyond dance—he is also a DJ, spinning at clubnights and international events such as Housejam XL, The Kulture of Hype & Hope, Tokonoma Clubnight, and Juste Debout Afterparty.
 

As an educator, Wesley has held teaching roles at Codarts, Fontys, and the Amsterdam University for performing arts, focusing on movement research, freestyle practice, and body awareness through physical fitness. He has worked extensively with leading dance companies Amenti Collective and ISH Dance Collective, serving as an assistant choreographer and coordinator for various educational programs. He also choreographed House Decoded as part of a development project for Vanildo Varela about his views and experiences pertaining to house dance and music culture.

In addition to his artistic work, Wesley co-founded Quality of Motion, a project dedicated to physical training and expanding ones physical capacity and capabilities. With his own company Initial Form he has trained and coached numerous dancers and athletes to excel in their physical prowess.
