Juan Urbina
Juan Urbina blends South American dance, contemporary movement, and social engagement to explore identity, resilience, and transformation. He trained at Pisorrojo and Escuela Taller de Danza Caracas before performing in Ireland with artists like John Scott, Liz Roche, and Lea Anderson. He choreographed Baile Bua, a community project for people experiencing homelessness, and holds an MA in Contemporary Dance Education from the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts in Germany. He collaborated with Gelare Khoshgozaran on The Exile Retreat, explored migration through visual art, movement, and film, and promoted movement diversity with Tanzklub Selbst in Bewegung with Tanzplattform Rhein-Main.
