Giselle Rodrigues de Brito

Giselle Rodrigues de Brito is a professor in the Department of Performing Arts at the University of Brasília (UnB). She earned her master's degree in Contemporary Art from UnB in 2006 and holds a specialization in choreography from the London Contemporary Dance School (1997-1998). She completed her doctorate in Arts at UnB between 2016 and 2020. Since 1986, Giselle has been active as a choreographer, overseeing the choreography and movement direction for over 20 theater and dance productions, both in Brazil and internationally. She directed the Basirah - Núcleo de Dança Contemporânea company from 1997 to 2012 and currently coordinates the N.E.M - Núcleo Experimental do Movimento as part of the Mover/UnB extension project. Additionally, she contributes to the research project "Poéticas do Corpo" with the Teatro do Instante group in Brasília and serves on the national and local curatorial teams for the Movimento Internacional de Dança de Brasília festival.
