Carly Everaert is kostuum scenograaf. Recente projecten waren het kostuumontwerp voor de Trojan Wars  en Queer Planet bij HNT-jong en in samenwerking met Liesbeth Coltof  Hoffen und Sehnen en Miroloi in Bochum en Berlijn. Miroloi ontving der Faust voor beste jeugdtheater regie in Duitsland van het afgelopen seizoen. Carly ontving de Prosceniumprijs voor hun hele ouevre in 2022.

Als docent-onderzoeker aan de scenografie afdeling van de Academie voor Theater en dans in Amsterdam is hen lid van de Belichaamde Kennis onderzoeksgroep aan dezelfde ATD waar hen onderzoek doet naar vragen rondom kostuum, ruimte en belichaming vanuit een intersectioneel, praktijkgericht perspectief.

Carly ontving voor het jaar 2022-23 een onderzoek-beurs waarmee diverse bestaande samenwerkingen verder ontwikkeld kunnen worden, zoals die met Mira Thompson  waarbij lesmateriaal gecreĆ«erd wordt rondom Dissability Justice in kunstpraktijken en samen met Selm Merel Wenselaers (als vervolg op de Lieve Inclusieve brieven in de Theaterkrant) het curatorschap van Shebang Issue 3 heeft gedeeld om het belang van een Trans-blik op en in performance verder uit te diepen. Ada M Patterson komt lesgeven in hun Radicaal Denken blok net zoals Shishani Vranckx.

Carly Everaert is a costume scenographer. Recent projects include the costume design for the Trojan Wars and Queer Planet at HNT-jong and in collaboration with Liesbeth Coltof  for Hoffen und Sehnen and Miroloi in Bochum and Berlin. Miroloi received der Faust for best youth theater performance in Germany last season. Carly received the Proscenium Prize for their entire oeuvre in 2022. 

As a teacher-researcher at the scenography department of the Academy of Theater and Dance in Amsterdam, she is a member of the Embodied Knowledge research group at the same ATD where she researches questions of costume, space and embodiment from an intersectional, practice-oriented perspective.

Carly received a fellowship for the year 2022-23 with which various existing collaborations can be developed further, such as the one with Mira Thompson where teaching material is created on Dissability Justice in art practices and together with Selm Merel Wenselaers (as a follow-up to the Lieve Inclusieve Letters in de Theaterkrant) has shared the curatorship of Shebang Issue 3 to further explore the importance of a Trans view on and in performance. Ada M Patterson is going to be part of the Radical Thinking course as is Shishani Vranckx.
