Yorkinderjit Singh Mulder-Bhangoo (1991), better known as Yorke is a Theater Maker, Performer, and Culinary Artist. In everything he does, he actively seeks to improve the world, even though he sometimes questions whether art can truly achieve this. In 2015, he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Acting from HKU.

As a performer, he has gained substantial experience with repertory companies such as ‘t Barreland and is trained in adapting a wide range of texts as his own. In 2019, a performance form ‘t Barreland he collaborated on, Hin und Her, was nominated for Best Performance of the Season.

Additionally, he has been involved in various socially engaged theater initiatives aimed at diverse groups, such as promoting democracy in the classroom, combating child poverty, and addressing issues related to social welfare in the Netherlands.

At DAS Theatre, he explores how food can play a role in performative settings, using food as a symbol for the many aspects of society that need improvement. He is particularly interested in how food represents the depletion of the planet and its inhabitants, as well as its role in shaping identity and the politics surrounding it.
