Miriam den Boer-Salmón

MIRIAM DEN BOER-SALMÓN (NL/MX) is een violiste en artieste uit Amsterdam. Haar multiculturele achtergrond weerspiegelt in een liefde voor diversiteit en voor steeds veranderende perspectieven op de maatschappij en de realiteit, wat blijkt uit haar artistieke ondernemingen. Met improvisatie als kern, maakt ze momenteel deel uit van verschillende projecten, variërend van folklore tot jazz en vrije improvisatie tot experimentele en cross-art projecten.

Ze is medeoprichter van het Streetview Collective en werkt voor Stichting De Muziekstraat waarmee ze kunstzinnige projecten organiseert voor de buurt, muziekliefhebbers en andere geïnteresseerden. Naast haar artistieke ondernemingen is Miriam actief als muziekdocente in het basisonderwijs in Amsterdam en omgeving.

Miriam den Boer-Salmón (NL/MX) is a violinist and creator based in Amsterdam. Her multicultural background reflects in a love for diversity, for ever-changing perspectives on society and reality which shows in her musical ventures.

With improvisation at its core, she is constantly exploring folk and world music, combining different musical worlds together in her own unique language through both written and improvised music, including influences of new contemporary music and curious collaborations with visual artists, searching for the sounds physicality, shape and colour.

She is co-founder of Streetview Collective and works for foundation De Muziekstraat in Amsterdam Noord where she organises artistic projects for the neighbourhood. Next to her artistic endeavours she is active as a teacher in (music)schools in and around Amsterdam.
