Annett Jarewski

My biggest inspiration is my personal experience. I make work that is both extremely personal and universal, emotional and honest. Important themes in my work are mental illness, queer sexuality and feminism, often inspired by pop culture and queer culture. I fight against our cold, capitalist society by being radically queer, feminist and using emotion and honesty as a weapon. My work is for everyone, but especially for women and queer people who are still not represented enough in theatre.
