HALf6 with Vesna Petresin - Media + Imagination: The Real in The Virtual
Thursday 5 September 17:30
How do we imagine, visualise concepts and make art in times of rapid technological development and social changes?
AHK Artist in Residence Vesna Petresin has an international practice in which she combines her backgrounds as an architect, performance artist, writer, light designer, media artist, film-maker, composer, vocalist, dancer, choreographer and director. She will talk about her work - about how and why she finds ways to collaborate across disciplines, media and cultures to create multisensory, immersive experiences.
Vesna has helped kickstart the TransDisciplinary Atelier in which she will run hackathons. AHK students of any school or level of study are invited to join. These short, intense weekend events (first edition: 20 – 22 sep 2019) will explore how we can create concepts and work together to make immersive environments without restrictions to the tools, softwares or equipment used. During this HALF 6 meeting she will introduce the hackatons and give you some more information how to join.
TransDisciplinary Atelier is an initiative of Netherlands Film Academy, Academy of Theatre and Dance and the research groups of the Amsterdam University of the Arts (AIR)
