Watch back!

As technical producer you are closely involved with the creative process of a production and at a later stage, you will be responsible for supervising the technical crew. You contribute to making creative plans and translate these into technical solutions that reflect the artistic vision of the director or maker. The study programme also devotes attention to new digital techniques that you can use. You learn how to take charge of a team and we stimulate you to expand your theoretical, creative and artistic talents. To this end you will work closely with students of the Design & Technology bachelor study programme.

The Academy for Theatre and Dance is home to a total of 13 bachelor study programmes and the associate degree in question. This means that already at an early stage of your study you have the opportunity to work closely with others to realize productions and create art. In this environment everyone is still busy learning which means there is lots of opportunity for experimentation and trial and error. Besides classrooms and studios the academy also has three theatres. The IDlab facilities allow you to work with the latest digital and technological possibilities.

The language of the Theatre Department is Dutch. In order to function up to the mark in the lessons, foreign students are required to speak, write and read Dutch.
