The Design & Technology bachelor study programme is a full-time, 4-year study course. You will start by developing your technical expertise and slowly evolve towards the artistic side of the specialist field you have chosen. In the first year you follow lessons with your whole class. At the end of the first year, you are offered a choice between three specialisations which means you will see increasingly less of all your classmates in the second year. During the first two years you are expected to collaborate on at least three projects annually at the academy. For example, a solo production of a student at the Drama and Contemporary Music Theatre study programme or a presentation of Expanded Contemporary Dance for the open day. In the third year, focus will shift more towards the work field. At the start of the third year, you will embark on a four-month long internship. The fourth study year lasts nine months during which time you will participate in at least one graduation project at school, working together with other study programmes. You also have the opportunity to pursue another internship or to write a thesis or essay.
