On Friday 19 September 2025, ATKA students, together with artistic director Yvette Fijen and the Sustainability team of the Academy of Theatre and Dance, were in full swing during Amsterdam Clean Up Day. In just one hour, we collected over 1,000 litres of waste! What made it even more special was that Nienke van Rensen, district executive Amsterdam Centrum, joined us.

This has left us with a strong desire to do more: in the future, we want to organise another clean-up event, together with more students and colleagues. To be continued!
