Plays
The library acquires all plays newly published in or translated into Dutch. Plays in English, German and French are also included in the collection though the library does not attempt to collect all plays by authors in these languages.

Books
The collection includes books on various subjects such as: directing, theatre technology, playwrights, mime, puppet theatre, costume, theatre history, drama genres, ballet and modern dance, show/musical dance, performance and cabaret. Fringe areas as management, marketing, education theory, psychology and art are also included, be it to a lesser extent.

Sheet music
Since 1996 sheetmusic has been collected. Particularly musical songs, chansons, popular songs and popsongs.

Periodicals
The library subscribes to the most important Dutch and foreign magazines on dance and theatre.

Video tapes / DVDs
Since 1980, the library records programs on or registrations of dance, theatre, tv-drama, cabaret, musical as well as films and documentaries dealing specifically with performing arts and 'zeitgeist'. In addition, registrations of Theatre School productions are available. Video/DVDs cannot be borrowed. Viewing rooms are available in the library.

Cd-roms
It is possible to consult the following cd-roms in the library: Forsythe CD-ROM, Dance on disc, Encarta Encyclopedia and Fondsendisk (in Dutch).
