Discover, create and celebrate diversity with Wasjikwa!

Published on

Wasjikwa is a platform for Indigenous knowledge, ritual, and craft practices. We invite you to the third edition of the Indigenous Shoulder Cloth Workshop, held in honour of Keti Koti. Over four Sundays (May 18, June 1, 15, and 29), you’ll learn traditional Lokono knotting techniques and craft your own unique shoulder cloth—a personal symbol of connection, resilience, and the theme Ala Kondre – all countries, one community.

This edition marks the beginning of a meaningful collaboration with the ATD Lectorate, where we’re joining forces to create space for Indigenous making, community-building and decolonial thinking within the arts. The workshops take place in our shared space at DAS/ATD Lectorate. Everyone is welcome—even just to drop in and get a first taste.
