Rockin’ at Rokin is an event for dance enthusiasts where everyone, no matter your dance experience or training, can follow dance classes for FREE. The dance classes are held every Friday evening from 18:30 until 22:00 o’clock in the centre of Amsterdam.

All the first classes on Fridays are given by Janne Groen who teaches Community Based Movement Sessions. For the second class of the evening we invite a different teacher every week, because we want to focus on various dance styles. The core of Rockin’ at Rokin is the importance of community and that’s why after every class there is the opportunity for all dancers/participants to get together, share and dance.

The name Rockin’ at Rokin comes from the beautiful location of Adyen at Rokin 49 in Amsterdam. This event is a collaboration between Adyen and the Dance Teacher Education of AHK. Currently, the second edition of Rockin’ at Rokin is happening and after a very successful first edition, we want to get even more people dancing this time. And all participation is free of charge!
