Space for inspiration, reflection, and decisiveness - collaboration Adyen and ATD

Published on

In 2022, Adyen and the Academy of Theatre and Dance will launch a special collaboration to provide a space for inspiration, reflection, and decisiveness in the heart of the city of Amsterdam.

In 2021, Adyen opened additional office space at the Rokin, in the same city center where the companies’ journey began. To engage with, and give back to, the city of Amsterdam, the company opens up its offices for Amsterdammers in collaboration with the Academy of Theatre and Dance. Within its education, the academy explores the ways in which art can contribute to shaping the world, based on a firm belief that art can set people and realities in motion and has, for some time, wished to present themselves outside the university walls. Therefore we have developed programs in collaboration  with the Master programme DAS Creative Producing, the Bachelor of Dance in Education and the 5 O'Clock Class specifically for Adyens building to shape idiosyncratic encounters with people in the city.

What do we have planned in the upcoming period?

Master DAS Creative Producing presents:

  • Keynote Art & Inclusion on Sunday April 10th
  • Keynote Art & Society on Sunday May 15th

5 O' Clock Class presents:

  • Movement workshop Making a solo (age 13+) on friday April 29th

Bachelor of Dance in Education presents:

  • Rockin' at Rokindance sessions on  Friday evenings on May 13, â€‹20, and 27 and June 3, 10 en 17
  • Transcultural Dance Practices Symposium on Saturday May 14th and sunday May 15th

All these events are open to public and free of charge. Do you want to join?
Check out the ATD calendar for all details for each programme!

Location: Adyen, Rokin 49, 1012 KS Amsterdam
