Call for applications: Amsterdam Master of Choreography

Published on

Artists who have established a professional practice, and seek possibilities for further reflection and development, in one word ‘diffraction,’ can increase their research skills at the Amsterdam Master of Choreography.

This two-year non-residential master’s programme of the Amsterdam University of the Arts aims to contribute to the field of critical and contemporary dance practice. The individual artistic practice is the point of departure and will be the guiding thread of the course design.

The programme contains 3 seminars each year, residencies in Amsterdam, and individual mentoring, which allows for developing an intensive and sustained dialogue in relation to an ongoing artistic practice. This dialogue is sustained through strong investment on high quality feedback, peer exchange, sharing reading, writing and practices. The programme offers a place to slow down the chaos, to allow for being overwhelmed and not know, and to allow time for insisting on one thing. A place to create conditions for developing artistic practices.
