HALf6 - Do we actually know what we are voting on?

Tuesday 10 March 2026, 17:30 - 19:30 hrs.
Academie voor Theater en Dans
Jodenbreestraat 3
1011 NG Amsterdam

The city council elections are on 18 March. The city council plays an important role in how art and culture are organised locally - but also in issues that directly affect your life as a student, such as housing and equal opportunities.

Sharing visions
That is why the ATD is inviting a number of politicians from different parties to share their visions. The aim of this evening is simple: to ensure that people are well informed when they go to the polls on 18 March.

  • Why does local politics matter and what are we voting on?
  • What are their views on student life, housing, equal opportunities and art & culture?
  • And how do they differ from each other?
The invited parties were selected based on a short poll on the ATD Instagram, which indicated where people still have doubts. This is not a representative survey, but it gave us direction for the programme. At the moment, D66, GroenLinks and Bij1 have confirmed their participation — we hope that one or two more parties will join.

After the programme, there will be soup to discuss the event. The programme ends around iftar. Therefore, dates and milk will be available for those participating in Ramadan. Prayer rugs are available in the prayer room if desired.

What is HALf6?
The Academy of Theatre and Dance presents HALf6, a public forum in the hall of the ATD, Jodenbreestraat 3, Amsterdam.

We open our doors, get together and ask ourselves: What is going on? Who is in town? Who is in the school? Could the Academy of Theatre and Dance be a public place for debate and encounter? And can we connect more closely with each other and with our direct environment?

You are welcome on Tuesday 10 March at 17:30 hrs!
