In case you are looking for your world-view, we have it, you can get it or a similar one, whatever we have right now, anytime. But it is painful to look at the world! Horrible!
On The Royal Road is a mad journey of words into the mind and out into the world, where mythical figures and pop cultural characters and phenomena collide in a stream of shifting voices: the king, his political opponents, his supporters, the blind who see, and the seeing who are blind.
Over three weeks, graduating directing student Agnes Jung Lassen has explored Elfriede Jelinek’s chaotic yet crystal-clear mastodon of populism from 2017 – together with two performers and a musician. Through this process, and during three open rehearsals, they invite the audience into a fragmented world, asking: What is trust? What is truth today?
