What you’ll get from this session
What’s the best way of getting your ideas down clearly on paper? How do you write a project plan that truly represents you and your artistic vision? You’ll also want the project plan to be attractive to funders and other backers. We’ll take a deep dive together into your artistic identity, how to integrate this into your project and you’ll also get practical writing exercises. At this session you’ll find out how to grow an initial idea into a full-fledged project plan.
About
Damani Leidsman is the expert this evening. He’s a performing arts practitioner, creative producer and freelance consultant. He believes everybody deserves a sustainable working practice – he’ll go in-depth with you, giving you insights into the connections between artistic and business practices. Damani is a founding board member of CLOUD/Danslab, a platform for dance and movement research. He also worked as an adviser to the AFK (Amsterdam Fund for the Arts), CultuurSchakel and CAWA, the City of Amsterdam’s committee for arts incubators.

The teacher will tell you everything you need to know when starting up, opening the doors to a new world. We provide the pen and paper, so you can note down all the tips and tricks.
Get to work
Roll up your sleeves, because we’re going put what you’ve learned into practice right away. Sometimes the teacher will ask you to work with a specific case study, but usually you’ll be applying it to your own situation.

- Free for current students and recent graduates (from 2019 onwards).
- € 12.50 for AHK alumni who graduated before 2019.
