‘Holding Space’ part one Aminata Cairo November 23, 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM , in the ATD foyer
We would like to invite you to join us on Thursday, November 23rd for the kick-off of Holding Space - Save Space - Brave Space.
Holding Space is the first part of a triptych led by Aminata Cairo.
In this performance, Aminata creates a space where every voice is heard. It’s a space that is both ‘Save’ and ‘ Brave,’ where we are there for each other, where it becomes clear that at times we all are ‘the dominant’ and at other times ‘the other.’
In this space, various topics of oppression, exclusion, slavery, migration, but also creativity, joy, celebration, and resilience are explored, as well as our shared past and future. From Decolonization to the Celebration of life, every story is welcome through dance, music, and storytelling.
After the performance, there will be drinks and snacks, accompanied by music, to continue our discussions, thoughts, and celebrations together.
This project is a collaboration between the Academieraad, the AHK Lectoraat, students, teachers, and staff.
