You have the idea, the result is almost in front of you. All you need to do is start… Wow, that’s hard! Where do you start, what should you do, how do you reach your goal?
Let’s roll up our sleeves together. At the end of October we’ll start. You’ll meet fellow students who want to make their dream come true, just like you. We’ll discuss about what you need to progress in your project. You’ll choose relevant future workshops. Then, we’ll get to work. Not sure which way to go? There’s always someone who will give you a boost.
Step 1 Off to a good start
Saturday, October 30th, between 11 am and 5 pm, you’ll give your idea hands and feet. You’ll tell – just like your fellow students – about your dream. Then we’ll talk about traps and strong points and working on a plan. As a group we inspire and help each other. At the end of the day, everybody pitches the improved version of their plan and you’ll choose a buddy. Your buddy is the one who keeps you focused and will help you in finding solutions.
Step 2 Tailored workshops
On October 30th, you’ll also choose the workshops for the following months. Workshops that will help you realise your dreams. You don’t have to choose by yourself. The experts of the AHK Starterscafe. who present the workshops, will advise you. Whether it’s about setting your price, creating your profile, applying for funding or something else: there’s plenty of choice. You’ll decide on your tailored bundle of workshops.
Step 3 Online coaching added
In November and in April, you’ll meet the group again, if you want to, during online coaching sessions of two hours. You’ll exchange experiences. Everybody will share tough moments, which are part of any project and together we’ll look for solutions. Coach Onno van Swigchem* will give you a push in the right direction.
Step 4 Follow up day
On June 5th, there is a follow up day, where you are very welcome. We’ll show each other where we are now, talk on what we’ve encountered and listen to the golden advice from the group and from Onno. Now you know what to do, in order to launch your project.
Onno van Swigchem
Onno van Swigchem guides the group. He is a sax player, composer and band leader and realised projects in dance, film and on location in the Netherlands and abroad. Onno also teaches and gives talent training at the ArtEZ University of the Arts in Arnhem and Zwolle.
The AHK Starterscafé is a pop-up café for creative starters in the AHK Culture Club, full of extra-curricular workshops. Get to know current and former students who – just like you- want to live from their creativity.
