On Friday June 24th at 19.00h we will open the GIVE-A-DANS! Festival with a performance by Jonathan Burrows and Matteo Fargion in collaboration with MTD 4 and the presentation of the exclusive MTD Legacy publication.
From Saturday June 25th onwards we have an exciting line-up of workshops, performances, interviews, round table discussions and open air performances.
All segments of the programme are independent from one another, and possible to attend consecutively. Scroll all the way down for more information about each event in the programme.

The festival GIVE-A-DANS! came about with many voluntary hands and heads. In order to be able to compensate the contributing artists, teachers, thinkers and organisers according to the FAIR-PRACTICE principle, your donation is welcomed with great gratitude. Thank you!

Morning and afternoon workshops
9.30-11.00 and 13.00-15.00
Are you a morning person, or do you like to sleep in? There is something for everyone! Workshops by leading choreographers and dancers from the international and national dance field; an extremely varied offering for the curious amateur to the professional dancer in search of depth of experience. Imagine workshops in floor technique, partnering, dance phrases or repertoire, as well as innovative and challenging work in the field of physical theater, voice and movement, or improvisation.

Coffee break Interviews
11.45-12.30
After the first workshop session you can attend an interview with a renowned Dutch choreographer. This dance-icon is ready to inspire you, and afterwards you can ask them your burning questions.

Cocktail-time Roundtable discussions
17.00-18.00
Well-known inter(national) dancers, makers, programmers will exchange about current dance themes: diversity, inclusion, alternative ways of collaborating, fair practice and much more. Of course you are more than welcome to join this discussion.

Performances
15.15-16.30, 18.15-19.00 and 19.30-21:45 
After body, soul and mind have been nourished during the workshops, there are a string of performances waiting for you to enjoy. The GIVE-A-DANS! program consists of work by dancers and choreographers from the Netherlands as well as abroad that have all been educated and nurtured during the 33 years of the MTD department. Be amazed by intriguing acrobatic duets, subtle aesthetics, groundbreaking improvisation, surprising puppet play, and pounding dynamics.
