Frie Leysen and Ogutu Muraya and Angella Emurwon

On Tuesday 11 November we welcome special guest
Frie Leysen and Zaaigoed participants Ogutu Muraya and Angella Emurwon.

Belgian curator Frie Leysen will receive the Erasmusprijs 2014. With her fundamental curiosity and critical attitude, she contributes already for 30 years to innovation in international theatre. They are both participating in Zaaigoed, an initiative of The Performing Arts Fund NL, Stichting DOEN, Hivos and Prince Claus Fund, where theatre makers from Africa, Asia and Latin America are working with Dutch collegues.

Frie Leysen was the founding director of deSingel in Antwerp, Kunstenfestivaldesarts, Meeting Points festival in nine Arab cities. She was curator of Theater der Welt, artistic director of the Berliner Festspiele and theatre director of the Wiener Festwochen. Her work can also be witnessed in the Netherlands: from 2012 onwards, she has curated the series ‘Get Lost’ – a selection of exceptional international theatre and dance performances.
