Lobke Mienis has been affiliated with the Academy of Theatre and Dance in Amsterdam (ATD) since 2007. Here she works among others as a teacher of Experiential Anatomy at the different dance departments and she is part of the core team Health & Performance. There she focuses in particular on the development of the education and screening of dance students, in which she provides 1:1 follow-up moments with the dance students. She also takes care of part of the consultation hours within the ATD. In the past, she has given Health and Wellbeing classes at Codarts Circus Arts for a number of years and workshops on Health & Performance at various organizations and institutions.

In addition to working at the ATD, Lobke works in her own practice De Mensendieckpraktijk, DANS SPORT ARBO. Because of her passion for dance (and later acrobatics) she trained herself in exercise therapy for dancers during her studies and she continued this after her studies. She has deepened her knowledge in sports exercise therapy at the International Academy for Sportscience (IAS) and Orthopedics for paramedics at the Netherlands Academy of Orthopedic Medicine (NAOG). She is currently studying Myofascial Structural Integration (ATSI). In the practice she sees many amateur dancers, dance students and professional dancers. In addition to being a remedial movement therapist, she has also been a certified TRE® (Trauma/Tension Release Excercises) provider since 2017.
