Gert-Jan de Haas

Gert-Jan de Haas, neuropsychologist, has been working within (among others) the care for people with intellectual disabilities since 1992. From his company NAR-Lab he is involved in complex casuistry throughout the Netherlands and sometimes abroad. This frequently involves bringing together the various components of behavior under a common denominator, the so-called transnosological approach. This makes the diagnostics more concise and unambiguous.

Gert-Jan de Haas was a guest lecturer at the faculties of medicine at Leiden and Erasmus University, as well at the faculties of psychology at Leiden and Groningen University. He frequently lectures, publishes and is consulted on various substantive and organizational issues. He also graduated as a musician at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, makes and publishes music, works as a therapist for dancers, musicians and singers and is, for example, a consultant at the Dutch National Opera and Ballet.

In August 2015, together with colleague Brendon Koolen, he gave a workshop “Mental Skill Training” to NBA and MTD teachers at the Academy of Theatre and Dance.
