Ingrid Vranken (1987, Belgium) completed Theatre Studies at the University of Antwerp and the Freie Universität Berlin. She has worked mainly in Brussels, shifting between identities as a dramaturg and a producer to a curator for artists as well as arts organizations, including the Bâtard Festival, Walter Verdin and David Weber-Krebs. In 2012 she became the coordinator of the artists’ platform SPIN, founded by Kate McIntosh, Diederik Peeters and Hans Bryssinck, with whom she worked for five years. She is a (board) member of several artistic organizations and platforms, including oKo, Bâtard Festival, Nada&Co and FoAM.
Aside from her work in the arts, Ingrid is actively engaged in the climate movement. She is a coordination team member of the activist organization Climate Express. Ingrid's work focuses on connecting the arts and ecology, not only as an artistic theme but also as a way to transform artistic processes and practices. She is currently researching new organizational and collaborative models and practices of reconnection for a wider ecological and post-capitalist transition.
