As part of the series "Conversations with makers" (Original in Dutch: "Gesprekken met Makers"), "What currently is" (Original in Dutch: "Wat nu is") is a conversation between theatre-maker Sanne van Rijn and writer Irma Driessen. They talk about the practice of making, creating and forming, look at theatre and discuss their views and doubts. Irma Driessen recorded Sanne van Rijn's words and together they processed this conversation into the booklet: What currently is (Wat nu is). 

About the series
In collaboration with de Nieuwe Toneelbibliotheek, DAS Research has started the series: Conversations with Makers (Gesprekken met Makers). The series aims to contribute to the memory of theatre in the Netherlands. The practice, thinking and knowledge of performing artists themselves are focal aspects. We want to offer creators the opportunity to speak out in their own language, and from their own experience and interest.
