Amelia Uzategui Bonilla
Amelia Uzategui Bonilla, M.A., born in Lima, Peru, develops dance works addressing colonial histories and empowering marginalized communities. Their choreographic projects engage with Afro-Indigenous movement traditions and critically examine Euro-U.S. American dance legacies, alongside issues of racism and ableism. Amelia produces work with the mixed-abled collective T.I.A. dance productions and teaches decolonizing dance research at MACoDE (Frankfurt) and SNDO (Amsterdam), collaborating with artists across Europe, Mexico, Peru, and the U.S.
