Summer Dance Day by the National Ballet Academy for anyone aged 8 to 14

If you’re passionate about dance and would really like to dance in the studios of Dutch National Ballet, then come to the National Ballet Academy’s Summer Dance Day! The Summer Dance Day is being organised for the first time this year for anyone aged 8 to 14 who enjoys dancing. Don’t miss this Summer Dance Day, whether you take part on your own or with your friends!

You’ll have classes from teachers of the National Ballet Academy and learn more about what’s involved in taking a course at this leading dance academy. You’ll attend a training session at the National Ballet Academy’s annual International Summer School, to which young dancers flock from all over the world. And last but not least, you’ll learn a scene from Act 1 of the famous ballet Don Quichot. You’ll perform the piece at the end of the day in Dutch National Ballet’s ‘Grote Studio’ for a real audience, who will of course include your parents and/or escorts. After the performance, a photo will be taken of you with all the other dancers and the teachers, which we’ll send you as a souvenir of the Summer Dance Day!
