Choreographic Project 2021

At the beginning of November, for the third year in a row, we organised our Choreographic Project. In this project, pupils from NBA 5, 6 and 7, AD students and students on the Bachelor’s programme get the chance to discover and develop their choreographic talent. No fewer than 23 prospective choreographers took part this time. They created solos, duets and group works in a huge variety of styles, and presented their work at sold-out performances (which was still possible at the time). Bachelor’s student Zoë Greten, who took part in a previous Choreographic Project, has shown where this can lead. She was invited to join the Dutch National Ballet’s Choreographic Academy and will be creating her first work for the Junior Company next spring.

Watch on Instagram a short film about the project, made by Thomas Van Damme, ex-NBA student and dancer with the Junior Company.
