This open call for the André Veltkamp Grant 2022 is a call to all final exam candidates who will graduate this year with an ‘exceptional’ final work. The ATD Fund has opted for a new procedure whereby students themselves make known their desire to be eligible for the grant.
Register for a pitch and meeting with the jury!
The André Veltkamp Grant is intended for a graduation production of the Academy of Theatre and Dance that excels by its involvement with today's society. The jury looks at the creation, the team, individuality, passion and originality. The basic principle is that the jury on behalf of the ATD Fund chooses a production with a special artistic signature. Which production do you think deserves a second life and therefore a new audience?
If you are convinced that your production qualifies for the André Veltkamp Grant, register before 17 August for a pitch and meeting with the jury, consisting of alumni and colleagues from the professional field. With this online form you can answer a number of questions. Early September the jury will invite a maximum of 8 candidates, cq teams for a presentation and interview. For that meeting you can think of your own presentation form with which you can show the jury why your performance deserves a second life.
Save the date!
Monday 19 September, during a public HALf6 event in the hall of the Academy for Theatre and Dance, the André Veltkamp Scholarship, the Top Naeff Award and the Henny Kamerman Dancer Award will be awarded. The scholarship is an award of 1,000 and support from the ATD Fund for research into a reprise of the production.
