Well in Dance Symposium

The 5 O’ Clock Class is unique in its ethos: the empowerment of dance students to find themselves and follow the pathway that better serves them individually, in and outside of dance education. This approach invites a wide range of participants and develops autonomous and resilient students that stand braver to the outside world.

Outside of dance class, the environment in which these young dancers move plays a pivotal role in their success and, as such, the 5 O’ Clock Class, in collaboration with Health & Performance department of the ATD, developed the “Well in Dance Symposium - a 5OCC x H&P collab”

This symposium targets ALL 5 O’ Clock Class community: dancers - families - carers - friends - peers; and offers sessions in mental wellbeing and growth mindset, nutrition, communication skills and 5OCC alumni story sharing. Only with everyone in the room we can have the important conversations!

Outcomes of this event give information on the 5OCC population interests and further needs. These can be fulfilled through curricular activities and the development of future events.
