Open call for third edition of Queer Feedback Sessions

Deadline: 31 October 2023

The team of IPOP is excited to announce that the model of communal queer feedback sessions will be continued for its third chapter in commencing academic year. The program developed with a generous support of Platform 2025 and Quality Funds is now a part of the ATD Lectorate “Thematic Cooperation Programme”.

Queer Feedback Sessions is a seven-week artistic research project exploring theories and methodologies of queering performance feedback while providing a chance for artists to receive feedback on current projects. This opportunity is open to students, staff and alumni of the AHK as well as community members from the Amsterdam area with an interest in queer art making. €200 honorarium for participants is offered. This year in addition to artists and researchers we will also welcome people interested in being trained in our feedback methodologies as facilitators.

Our seven sessions will be held in Winter/Spring 2024 from 11.00 to 17.00 on Saturdays on the following dates: 3 February, 10 February, 24 February, 2 March, 9 March, 6 April, 13 April, and 20 April.

Deadline to submit applications is 31 October 2023.

Communal Feedback Manual (TBA)

Currently we are preparing a second publication by IPOP which will be shaped as a manual tailored for LGBTQ+ artists, educators and facilitators engaged in experimental feedback models. Through two years of experimenting with cohorts at the Academie voor Theatre en Dans and DAS Theatre, we are organizing a practically oriented publication to support communal and queer-minded spaces of exchange around artistic practice and research.

In the coming months we will be informing about the release of the publication and where you can find it.
