What happened?
We opened in the Danstheater with a full house of students with a speech of Anthony Heidweiller and by Annika, student Theatre Directing and Wastelands think tank.
Her tagline:” this week is by us for us and about us”.

There were separate meetings in 23 small groups getting to know each other a bit better, the students made a symbol and attached it to the WL wall in the hall.
Aminata Cairo was present in the afternoon in an interactive two hours with all students: singing, dancing, giving it meaning to relate, to connect, no one needs to be alone. Beautiful music, ending with students in groups writing their lyrics to a song and “the blues”.

The students created four rooms: a quiet room, a swap room, a game room, an improvisation room .

Opening 
We all meet in the Danstheater for the opening of Wastelands 2023
Anthony Heidweiller (director ATD) and the “Wastelands think tank students” (WLTTS) will welcome us. The WLTTS is a group of 22 students that represent all ATD bachelor educations. They thought out the WL programme

Who is who again?
Let’s open the envelopes. In your envelope you find the name of three other students .Try to find them without making any sound … After introducing yourselves to the others, think of a tribute for the WL-wall, design it, create it and attach it to the WL-wall in the hall

We all gather in the Danstheater. The WLTTS will talk us through the program of the week, explain “the WL -rooms & wall”, the “food exchange” etc.
After this there will be a “click show” to “pitch” the ideas for the “workshops exchange” scheduled on Tuesday& Wednesday (For the pitch every department has 1 minute)
After this, choose a department and sign up for Tuesday and Wednesday right now!

Decorating the WL-rooms In the Danstheater the WLTTS students introduce and represent the 4 WL rooms and WL-wall. Join them up to 5 groups of 10 people and design decoration and content of the rooms and wall. Pitch the design to Bas de Bruijn (coordinator technical needs) and get consent
