First-year students of the Academy of Theatre and Dance will take part in Wastelands from Tuesday, March 3 to Friday, March 6. The regular study program will make way for a multidisciplinary week — a week packed with activities created by and for students. There will be plenty of room for connection, in-depth exploration, future collaborations, and inspiring workshops. 

During this week the ATD 1st year students will meet again, have the chance to discover more about the other departments and get to know each other on another level.

On this page, you will find an overview of the programme day by day. You will also find an overview of the workshops for which you can sign up during the Wastelands week.  

Signing up for the workshops is possible on Tuesday, 3nd of March, after more information is given at our meeting that day. 

In addition to the daily programme, the Wastelands Team will create two hangout spaces: a Jam Room and a Quiet Room. These will be open for use throughout the week. 

Every morning, we expect you to sign in at the Wastelands table in the hall between 10.30 and 11.00. There will be coffee and tea at the start of the day during the walk-in. Please bring the cup you received during Intro Week or another reusable cup.  

If you are sick or have an excused absence, you have to inform your classmates who are part of the WL team before 11.00 o’clock by app. 

Lunch & Dinner – From Tuesday to Friday, lunch will be provided in Studio 8.09: a moment to come together, share, and relax. On Friday evening, Studio 8.09 will be transformed into a restaurant where we will have a shared dinner. After that the End Party will take place in the Theaterzaal. All catering will ofcourse be provided by the wonderful Carmen and her Starlounge team.
