Each year the Aerowaves network selects 20 of the most promising emerging choreographers in Europe. Aerowaves promotes their work for a year, creating opportunities to perform.
The 2022 line-up includes works from 12 countries and proves yet again how rich Europe’s emerging dance scene is in its diversity of themes and aesthetics.

Out of twenty in total, three ATD alumni are nominated:

• Sigrid Stigsdatter Mathiassen with ‘Cold Hawaii’, SNDO alumna 2017
• Andreas Hannes with ‘Warping Soul’, SNDO alumnus 2018
• Gergo D. Farkas MTD alumnus​ 2020

The selection process took place at the Kultur-Betriebe Burgenland in Eisenstadt (Austria) from 29 – 31 October, hosted by Liz King and Max Biskup from D.ID DANCE IDENTITY, 40 dance professionals gathered in person to discuss hundreds of dance works.
