In this physically challenging workshop, you will get acquainted with the unique and specific movement language of LeineRoebana.  

More about LeineRoebana: the modern dance company of choreographers Andrea Leine and Harijono Roebana, has occupied an important place in Dutch and international dance for more than 25 years. The choreographer duo developed their own unique dance idiom based on a new approach to symmetry, rhythm and composition. The interaction between dance and music, in collaboration with musicians and composers, is the core of LeineRoebana's work. Their musical preference ranges from renaissance to contemporary composers and reflects their search for authenticity. By using live music as much as possible, often with commissioned compositions, they explore the power of the dialogue between dance and music. 

The group has gathered admiration far beyond the border. Smell of Bliss with violinist Liza Ferschtman, GhostTrack with Indonesian composer Iwan Gunawan and his gamelan ensemble Kyai Fatahillah and Theriak with harpist Lavinia Meijer are some unforgettable examples from the past 25 years. LeineRoebana has been awarded national and international awards and has played in Europe, the United States, Canada, Russia, Africa and Indonesia.
