"Mould-it!
“Mould-it!” Is and graduation performance and installation that explores how modern toy culture shapes identities and imagination, drawing on the idea that modernity extends Christian missionary logic. It argues that the toy industry imposes norms about how and what to play, turning toys into idealized, identity-driven products that influence children much like religious beliefs shape society. This process limits children’s creative freedom and enforces conformity, reducing their ability to imagine new ways of being and storytelling.
The installation presents toys as objects of worship within a church-like setting, highlighting how consumer culture turns both toys and people into products. Visitors are invited to become “relics” themselves, symbolizing how individuals are commodified from a young age. Overall, the project critiques the loss of personal imagination and autonomy in a society driven by mass production, marketing, and self-capitalization.
The project will feature a performance on April 8th, where you are invited to join a Mass. On April 9th and 10th, the installation will be open throughout the day.
